CDI/CDC camps happen in the comfort of safety of our very own Elementary School campuses and with full access to our youth center buildings and all the materials with-in. Campers spend much of the day enjoying the park-like settings outdoors, with water play, craft areas, nature exploration, and plenty of sports and games on our well maintained vast fields and sport courts. Our campers enjoy days of swimming, arts, and in-depth projects to help them discover the world around them. We offer specialty programs in Technology utilizing out tech labs, Pottery in some locations where we have wheels and kilns, and even Culinary Camps utilizing our well stocked kitchens. Campers enjoy hanging out during rest periods in the comfort of air-conditioned lounge areas where they can play with favorite toys such as a wii or Kinect. The camp environment inherently supports campers while they creatively explore new interests and play with friends new and old.
Summer camp counselors are very special people in the lives of campers. So at CDI/CDC we don't cut any corners. Our summer camp staff consists of professional teachers and child development experts who have a passion and amazing talent for working with kids. Working year-round these employees develop amazing summer programs that are unique and special, and available no place else. Our staff are trained beyond all others! Of course they are CPR / First Aid certified. Most are state licensed and many hold advanced degrees! CDI/CDC summer camp counselors experience on-going training and development programs and an intense Pre-Camp Training, where we roll out a year's worth of planning to create the perfect summer!
Our camps offer a balance of traditional camp fun and new experiences each week. Songs, games and camp activities are side-by-side with today’s hottest topics, empowering campers to make choices and engage a world created just for them. Summer provides the opportunity for in-depth projects around technology & media skills, scientific discovery, intensive art workshops, culinary classes, dance and drama, or sports & physical skill development. The camp environment keeps learning fun and light, building confidence through success, in an environment that inspires trying new things.
