Each day of camp is packed with music and activities. While chamber music is the main focus of each day's schedule, we also emphasize the importance of balancing work with play and rest. We schedule free time throughout the day, allowing campers to socialize on their own or read a book, as well as optional activities such as sports and arts-and-crafts.
Here is a brief outline of a typical day at Point CounterPoint:
7:15 Wake-Up Bell
8:00 Breakfast 9:00 Music Periods
12:15 Free-Time
1:00 Lunch
2:00 Activities/Free-Time or Optional Practicing
4:30 Music Period
5:15 Free-Time
6:00 Dinner
7:30 Performance or Activities/Free-Time
10:30 Lights Out
Counselors offer a wide range of activities for large and small groups- campers can usually choose between two or three organized activities at any one point. One of the advantages of our small size is the special attention we can give; we can adapt our program to suit the interests and energy levels of the campers and involve them in some of the planning through our Camper Council. Wednesday and Saturday afternoons are set aside for special all-camp activities. For Saturday night campers choose a party theme, create decorations, and make a music mix for dancing and playing games.
