2019 Youth Summer Camps at ACNW

Experience Your Environment!

The Audubon Center of the North Woods (ACNW) youth camps have a focus on wildlife, nature, challenge and outdoor skills. Experience the great outdoors and make memories that last a lifetime!

All of our camps are overnight, residential camps with indoor lodging. ACNW provides great accommodations, wonderful scratch-based meal service, a top-notch, experienced staff, and engaging activities to provide one of the best outdoor camp experiences around.

ACNW has been committed to providing environmental and outdoor education experiences to all ages since 1971. Our programs connect people with the outdoors with a focus on developing environmental understanding, ethics and responsibility through experiences that link nature and humans. We are accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and offer residential environmental & outdoor educational experiences to K12 youth, families, college students & adults, as well as youth summer camps.

Need-based partial scholarships are available.

In addition to our summer youth camps, we are an environmental learning center whose mission is:  To instill a connection and commitment to the environment in people of all communities through experiential learning.

The very backbone of our organization is our residential K-12 schools program, connects thousands of students to nature every year, immersing them in hands-on learning during their several days with us and leaving indelible impacts on them. Through our summer camp programs, we can extend this impact on scores of children, making incredible memories outside and with each other.  They are what keep us going, striving to reach more individuals because we see the power that nature has in educating and inspiring people of all ages, demographics and backgrounds. We are helping foster real, meaningful and impactful experiences for thousands of children each year through our wide-ranging experiential learning programs. Our goal is to build a citizenry that has the knowledge, desire and passion to make a positive difference for our planet and all its inhabitants. It might sound like soaring rhetoric, but when you are around the diverse audiences we work with on a daily basis and observe the joy, wonder and conviction in their eyes, you can’t help but feel hopeful for the future.
