Do you know a girl, age 11-14, who is interested in exploring science and math in a fun, social, all-girl environment on a college campus? Then, this camp is right for her!
Camp GEMS is a partnership between Girls Inc. and Marian College to engage girls in making bold and interesting discoveries. The camp infuses science and math learning with a spirit of exploration, adventure, and fun in a gender-specific environment. Girls will partake in several adventurous journeys throughout the city, including Marian College’s EcoLab, which includes 55-acres of forest, wetlands and prairie!
Some of the activities include the construction and racing of a super stock car, dissecting 3 different animals while learning about adaptations and body systems, and finding out how CSI investigators and detectives find clues and solve crimes.
