Glen Arden is nestled among the rhododendron and evergreens in the heart of the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains near Tuxedo, North Carolina. Upon entering the Glen Arden gate, one is greeted by a towering three hundred foot waterfall in a woodland filled with 1300 varieties of trees and flowers.
Our staff is chosen because of a demostrated love of children and the ability to teach one of our twenty one activites, including horseback riding, a wilderness program including ecology, landsports, water sports, and performing arts. The staff must be a minimum of nineteen years old and 70% are returning Glen Arden girls who have been through our Junior Counselor/Counselor-in-Training program. There is a 3:1 ratio camper to counselor.
Camp Glen Arden is the best camp in the world! I loved being a camper here and my own daughters now love camp. Awesome food! Awesome counselors! Awesome directors (Garrett and Erin Graham)! Awesome activities! Awesome pool! Awesome waterfront at the lake! This is the best place in the world to spend your summer!
