Online/Virtual and In-Person Options
Students will learn design principles and work on small teams to develop computer games using the GoDot platform.
Applicants should be high-school students who identify as autistic or having Asperger’s Syndrome. Previous coding experience is not required. The camp will provide opportunities for students at many skill levels (from beginner to advanced).
This camp is a collaboration between Microsoft Research's Ability Lab, Clemson's Human Factors Software Engineering Team, and the Clemson University Spectrum Program. The two-week coding experience is being provided in two formats, online and in-person (on the Clemson campus).
This course is offered as a two week program with classes Monday-Friday. Students may participate fully online, fully in-person, or choose one week to be online and the other week to be in-person.
In addition to learning to code, students who reside on campus will participate in activities and instruction designed to further develop their executive functioning, problem-solving, and self-advocacy skills, which are necessary for college success.
