Participants of the day camp will learn about farm animal behavior, grooming tips, nutrition and diet needs, and proper handling of a calf for show. In addition to working with their very own calf, they will make their own ice cream, milkshakes, and butter, learn how to milk a cow, go on hayrides, nature hikes, play farm games, and much more. They will witness real, every day farm chores and possibly even see a cow give birth! Two participants will be paired up together and given a calf to take care of for the week. Families of each participant are invited on Friday to watch each child present their calf in the show. We hope to provide a fun-filled week of rewarding activities as well as a learning experience for each child. Our goal is that each child will learn where their milk and dairy products come from, what a week on a dairy farm is like, and how to take care of calves and cows. So come and join our farm family for the week and create memories that will last for much longer!
