GRCA Nature Nuts Summer Camp

If your child loves the great outdoors, exploring the wilderness and having fun playing wild and zany games then this is the camp for them! The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority Nature Nuts Day Camp is ideal for 6-14 year-olds who would enjoy marsh exploration, nature hikes, environmental games and creating amazing crafts. As a bonus, a weekly field trip caps off each great week.

We pride ourselves on having a very specialized and well-trained staff. All instructors are certified teachers with the Ontario College of Teachers with over 15 years combined experience teaching outdoor education. All staff is trained in First Aid, CPR, AED, Conflict Resolution, Group Dynamics and Leadership Development.

The camp is conveniently located in Port Hope just off the Highway 28 exit on the 401. We are very fortunate to have a beautiful modern facility, which includes a full kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator for campers, a large AIR CONDITIONED conference area for those rainy or too hot days, storage areas for campers’ personal gear, and a great picnic shelter for outdoor crafts and lunchtime. On-site, are beautiful nature trails and two large fields for sports activities and group games.
