Pre-College Programs
Georgetown’s Pre-College Programs offer the opportunity to experience life as a college student, without the pressure of grades. These non-credit programs span from accelerated, one-week institutes to three-week programs that equip you with the tools needed for college success. As a student, you will engage in hands-on learning, study alongside classmates from around the world, and explore exciting areas of study.
College Credit Courses
This summer, take an in-depth look at an area of interest while earning college credit. Georgetown’s college credit courses cover a diverse range of subjects and span from introductory Fundamentals courses to the advanced Summer Honors Intensive program. Take classes alongside current Georgetown undergraduate students, learn from world-renowned faculty, and engage in challenging coursework that will prepare you for college success.
Georgetown offers two 5-week sessions in the summer. For the Fundamentals and Summer College courses, students can take up to one class per session for a total of 6 credits. Students seeking a more rigorous curriculum have the opportunity to take up to 12 credits through the Summer Honors Intensive program.
As a student in one of our 5-week sessions, you will also have the opportunity to attend co-curricular evening programming, such as lecture series and mini courses, as well as Residential Living programs, which include social events and weekend off-site trips. During the day, you will attend lectures, work on projects, or prepare for exams, while in the evenings, the high school community comes together for cultural exploration and socializing—all critical components to the college experience.
