Hill Top Summer Camp

Welcome!It is my pleasure to welcome you to Hill Top Summer Camp & Travel Adventures! Located on the beautiful 25 acre campus of Hill Top Preparatory School, we provide a traditional day camp program that supports social skill development for campers entering grades 2nd - 12th. Hill Top Summer Camp truly is a place where friendships begin. We are a small, family-like camp community where everyone knows everyone else’s name. Hill Top Summer Camp and Travel Adventures offers campers the opportunity to excel in an environment where they are surrounded by peers who are like them and staff who embrace them. Our campers thrive on the predictability and consistency of our program and feel empowered by the opportunity to select some of the activities in their daily schedule. We are not a clinical program and do not provide therapy, rather we provide campers with the structure, guidance, and fun that facilitates social skill development most effectively. Coming from both public school and private school settings (including Hill Top Preparatory School) our campers are intelligent, interesting and creative kids who struggle with making social connections. They need support navigating social interaction with peers. They need guidance with reading non-verbal cues, understanding social nuisances and initiating friendships.
Most of our campers have been diagnosed with complex learning differences and neurological profiles that include high-functioning Asperger’s Syndrome, a non-verbal learning disability and/or an attentional deficit disorder. Hill Top Travel Adventures also offers middle school and high school age campers exciting travel opportunities for families who are looking for a more “grown up” summer experience away from home. Our trips are designed to foster independence, build friendships and self reliance.Our staff are what campers love most about Hill Top Summer Camp. A small camper to staff ratio ensures that the staff gets to know each camper personally. Our staff is made up of clinicians, teachers, graduate and undergraduate students who have experience working with campers with learning differences and social skill needs. A portion of our campers come to us funded through their school district as part of their Extended School Year program (ESY). We are happy to work with you and your school district should your child qualify for ESY services. Academic Remediation is also available to campers who need support in writing/organizational skills and/or math. We welcome the opportunity to show your family around our camp.
