Camp Breakdown
Week 1 – The Script:
Students will receive one or more short skit scripts and will be given their characters for the skits. The students will start learning the characters and will start memorizing the script.
Week 2 – The Beginning Stages
Students will learn the fundamentals of acting for stage and will start learning how to properly perform their skits on the stage. The Students will continue working on their characters and should be able to perform with minimal script review.
Week 3 – Putting it together
Students will start to put what they’ve learn into rough performance. They will be mostly off book from their scripts and by the end of the week be able to perform their characters comfortably.
Week 4 – Final adjustments, Dress rehearsals and performance
The students will spend this week making any small adjustments needed to their scripts. All students will have their scripts completely memorized and will be performing their skits every day. The final day (Thursday) of camp will be a dress rehearsal.
