Lions Camp Tatiyee enriches the lives of individuals with special needs by providing a life-changing summer camp experience promoting their emotional health, independence, self-esteem and confidence, entirely free-of-charge. For over 60 years, Lions Camp Tatiyee has worked faithfully delivered on this mission, providing services to over 400 campers each season. To date, we have been and still are the only free summer camp for the Arizona special needs community.
To deliver on our mission, Lions Camp Tatiyee conducts 8 one week sessions each summer according to the ages and disabilities of the communities we serve. Each session lasts 6 days and 5 nights, providing our special needs campers a life-changing summer camp experience, allowing them to partake in adventurous activities typically afforded only to their mainstream peers. Lions Camp Tatiyee leads our field in programmatic innovation, adapting activities such as rock climbing, robotics, archery, arts and crafts, baseball, and more. We offer the special needs community an environment of complete accessibility and emotional support, allowing campers to challenge their perceived limitations to become more independent, confident, and happy.
LCT is the only free summer camp for special needs individuals in the state of Arizona and the only summer camp to focus on encouraging emotional health in the special needs community. Lions Camp Tatiyee truly offers the special needs community an environment of complete accessibility and emotional support, allowing campers to challenge their perceived limitations to become more independent, confident, and happy.
