The Marvelwood Summer Program has provided instruction in reading, English, and study skills since 1964. The Marvelwood name has become synonymous with caring and effective developmental education. For the many students who have been genuinely motivated to improve their academic work, The Marvelwood Summer has been an scholastic turning point. The ungraded curriculum, which emphasizes skill building and confidence building, enables young people to manage their schoolwork more effectively; to apply their newly developed skills to reading writing, and mathematics; and to think of themselves as capable and successful learners.
