Math Camp strives to take math out of the classroom and foster a love of learning that encourages unique and innovative thinking. MIND’s math education experts build activities that focus on the concepts behind the way math works. This conceptual learning will help your child not only succeed at math, but connect math to the world around us through activities such as building a fractal image kaleidoscope or learning how to use a 3-D printer.
Math Camp is open to students entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade for the 2015-16 school year. During camp, campers will have the opportunity to work on a special MasterMath project. MasterMath projects include creating art using math, math in movement, math in nature and more. These projects will be featured during the Math Camp Project Showcase at our Family & Community Day on Friday, August 21.
