After learning about Project Scientist and attending the 1 day teacher orientation, I was sold on the program. I immediately went back to school and sent an email blast to my scholars and their parents about this wonderful summer+ enrichment program. Within 48 hours I had 3 parents asking me to write references for their students to attend. The feedback and engagement of these young scientists after participating was astounding. 1 was strong in science and math before hand and now she wants to be a a computer engineer. The following year I referred three more scientists to the program, and I have not been disappointed by the outcomes. Thank you Project Scientist Charlotte for providing such wonderful and enlightening activities for our young ladies. ~ Dr. Brown, Oaklawn Language Academy
My daughter had a wonderful time at Project Scientist last summer - she loved the projects and the weekly themes. She made great friends with similar interests and can't wait to go back!
My daughter just loves Project Scientist Camp. She has learned so much and Project Scientist Camp has truly helped my daughter be more confidence when being creative in school. My daughter will be attending Project Scientist Camp again this summer and for many more summers to come. :)
Project Scientist is the best camp!!! My daughter did one week of camp last year at USC and she had the best time. She made new friends, learned coding, field trips, and best part of all, she was surrounded by like minded girls who love science! She canít wait to be a part of the CalTech group this summer!
My husband and I were thrilled to find Project Scientist for our 6-year old daughter. She is excited to return for a second summer this July, and we've attended Expeditions during the school year as well. I loved that they had the girls record their experiences and learning in a journal. My daughter brought her journal home every day and showed me what she had done at camp that day. She loved being in an all-girls environment. The teachers are very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and kind. At the end of the week of camp, the girls eagerly and eloquently described their experiments to the visiting parents at Open House. I also love that they find women from various STEM fields to come talk to the girls about their education and careers. I recommend Project Scientist to ALL my friends with daughters!
Fun camp and daughter enjoyed it. I liked the last day presentation where the kids talked about their projects. The girls varied in age, I don't know if they had small group instruction( daughter didn't say) but they did take a trip a day to visit various places and talk to various scientists. She had fun!
My daughter attended a coding camp offered by Project Scientist in 2015 and the instructor was horrible as my daughter knew more than the instructor. It was a waist of time and money.
Daughter had a blast and learned a lot about science and herself. Field trips correlated well to weekly theme and my kid has already stated she's going to work for one of the firms when she gets older.
It's a full day of learning, fun and growth in STEM for my future scientist! Loves that she sees female leaders in STEM and that she gets to learn hands on and is learning to write down her observations and the importance of recording data. I enjoy seeing the pride she has presenting at the end of the week.
My 6 year old daughter did this camp for two weeks last summer and loved every minute. I loved that it was very educational and only for girls!
My daughter is signed up for three weeks of Project Scientist summer camp this summer. Each of the weekly themes are fun and interesting. She is going to camp with some of her friends and she cannot wait!
