Chamber Groups
You will be placed into chamber ensembles according to your playing level. (Pre-formed ensembles are welcome. Just inform us of the members in your group.) You will rehearse and receive coaching daily, and will have an opportunity to participate in a Master-class and perform at the end of the camp.
Orchestras
If you select the General Track, you will get to play with the Scor-Chestra. If you participate in the Performance Track, you will have the opportunity to play more challenging music in the Chamber Orchestra. In either group, you'll learn some beautiful string orchestra music, focus on making a good section sound, and enhance your ensemble skills and musicality.
Technique Sessions
Twice during the camp you will have the opportunity to attend your choice of technique sessions specific to your instrument. Sessions may include technique areas such as vibrato, tone production, bow strokes, and more. Work with teachers experienced in adult instruction and open up a new world of possibilities in your playing!
Special Events
Learn some useful chamber music tips and work with master teacher Pamela Frame in a Chamber Music Masterclass.
Wonderful chamber music will be performed by guest pianist Alisa Curlee and your faculty. Don’t pass up these opportunities!
Perform The Score!
Wednesday, July 11th, on location. A public performance of our music including the Scor-chestra!, the Chamber Orchestra, the Cello Ensemble, (pictured) and selected chamber groups. Invite your family & friends if you’re from the Rochester area.
