St. Andrew's Valley offers the finest junior golf camp in Canada. No other course can match our facility. Physically the camp is situated in a private, 20 acre, totally secluded section of St Andrew's Valley's championship 18 hole course.

It features a large sheltered, six-bay tee deck which is essential in very hot or rainy weather. It includes three target greens for realistic iron practice; groomed sand bunkers and a beautifully manicured bent grass putting green. We are especially proud to offer the only camp with its own private golf course for the exclusive use of the students.

We also pride ourselves on making the game of golf fun for the kids while providing excellent professional instruction. No golf camp in Canada is equipped with better facilities. The program is designed and run by experienced instructors supported with one on one instruction from our resident CPGA professionals, David Fritz and Rob Pearce.

The camp program features:

  • Ten convenient Camp Sessions to choose from
  • Exclusive use of the River Course
  • Professional Instruction
  • 5 to 1 golfer/instructor ratio
  • Great Atmosphere

Each camp session runs Monday to Friday inclusive from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. Class size is limited to 35, with a five to one ratio of campers to instructors. The minimum age for campers is 7 yrs old. All camps are co-ed and broken into groups... 7 & 8 year olds, 9 to 11, and 12 to 16's; further divided into beginners and more advanced. For many, one week is only a minimum. As we take care not to put alumni through the same program, parents often sign up for multiple sessions.

The River Course at St. Andrew's Valley is a picturesque, executive length six-hole layout built exclusively for the golf camp. Nestled amid the Valley's championship 18 hole layout, the River Course boasts bent grass greens and even a complete irrigation system. Deceptively challenging, this layout was designed around our philosophy of finesse rather than strength. It tests all of the youngsters’ skills while de-emphasizing the 'grip-it-and-rip-it' attitude.

Campers spend each afternoon on the River Course, progressing from an introduction at the start of the week to a parent presentation on Friday. The family are encouraged to attend this final round and join us for a barbecue lunch and prize presentation.

Program Content:

All aspects of the game of golf are covered. We begin with the history; learn the terminology; the basic rules and proper etiquette. In teaching the swing, we start with a pendulum putting stroke which flows naturally into chipping and approaching.

With this foundation, the student can expand into the full swing; which is what we teach, a swing, not a hit. We want the kids to play within themselves. Once the basics are acquired they are sharpened with friendly skills competitions and developed on the River Course.

Lunch is included. Each day they are served a different item; pizza, sub sandwich, hamburger, hot dog, etc; along with a drink and treat. A supervised picnic area is provided with juice and water available throughout the day. If any of this is not to your child's liking then they are welcome to bring their own.
