Our programs include summer Chinese and cultural programs for college students and high school students, intensive Chinese language courses, semester/year abroad programs, and various volunteer and internship programs. Students receive college credits when completing the courses successfully. The 3-week summer program has been one of the most popular programs at Keats. Beautiful sunshine, clean air, blue sky, flowers everywhere, nice weather, YES, Kunming is your destination! Unique teaching methods, highly qualified Chinese teachers, comfortable studying environment, exciting excursions, YES, Keats Education is the one you will be spending vacation with! The summer program is a perfect combination of intensive Chinese courses, volunteering opportunities and tours in China. In the first 2 weeks, students learn Chinese intensively in the morning and have Chinese culture workshops and do volunteer work in communities in the afternoon. In the last week, students will travel to Dali, Lijiang, Xi’an, Beijing and Shanghai. In the first 2 weeks in Kunming, students will live with the Chinese families, which provides students an opportunity to polish Chinese skills and gain insights of Chinese culture and local features. Students will also visit local high schools/universities and have cultural exchange activities with local Chinese students. Volunteering in China means living and working alongside local people and gaining a better understanding of Chinese culture. Students will have 4 hours Chinese class in the morning to have some drills in Chinese language which they will be using when doing the volunteer work. Keats Education has close relationship with local NGOs and our volunteering activities include teaching at a migrant school, visiting orphanages, teaching at schools for the blind, teaching in kindergartens, and taking care of old people. Volunteer certificates and recommendation/reference letters are provided.
