Classes Offered
Acting on Camera
Students will be learning basic on- camera acting techniques. They will learn the process of finding work from
agent to audition, casting director to callback, to getting the gig and getting on camera. Students will work oncamera
practicing audition techniques for commercials and film and shooting a scene.
Performance/Characterization
Students will learn fundamental principles, theories, and techniques of acting. Through the use of
theatre games, exercises, and scene/monologue work they will experience the physical, vocal, emotional,
psychological, and technical preparation required for a successful performance. They will become familiar
with the techniques of Constantin Stanislavski and Michael Chekhov. Students’ work will culminate in a
monologue and/or scene.
Returning Campers will also work on original pieces in addition to regular work in classes.
All Final Performances will be open to the public and take place in UGA’s Cellar Theatre.
Classes will take place Monday thru Friday 10-12:30 and 2-4:30.
