Wentworth Military Academy and College’s Camp LEAD is an exciting, unique summer program that provides a blend of academic and summer adventure. Mornings are spent in the classroom, where some students pursue classes that advance their academic progress while others take classes designed to make up credits. A variety of courses are offered including some offered for college credit. Afternoons are enriched by challenging activities and trips designed to stretch their personal limits. There is an emphasis on leadership and character development. All students benefit from our unique combination of military structure academic enrichment and life-skills development.
Intensive ESL Summer Camp Program
The three- or four-week Intensive ESL (English as a Second Language) summer camp program is designed for international students who are interested in attending high school or college in the United States, or just want to improve their English skills. Kids and teens in the program will have opportunities to practice reading, writing, speaking and listening, as well as learn more about American culture. ESL summer camp students take part in a variety of outdoor activities designed to build leadership skills, including a camping trip to the Lake of the Ozarks. Students also have opportunities to attend sporting events and take part in other fun outings.
