The 2020-21 season was a shortened season due to COVID-19. Bergeson and his team finished 6-10 overall in 16 conference games. The 2020-21 basketball season was the first season of athletics since COVID-19 shut down all NCAA athletics in 2019-20. Regis missed the postseason tournament for the first time in five seasons.

The Rangers posted a 17-12 overall record and a 12-10 record in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) in 2019-20. The team qualified for the RMAC Tournament for the fourth-consecutive season.

In 2018-19, Bergeson led his squad to a 20-10 record overall and a 16-6 record in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play to enter the RMAC Tournament as the No. 3 seed. The Rangers defeated No. 6 seed UC-Colorado Springs in a thrilling 80-78 victory during the first round of the RMAC Tournament.

Senior Jarrett Brodbeck and junior Christian Little were named to All-RMAC First Team while senior Ryan Beisty earned All-RMAC Honorable Mention honors. Brodbeck broke the RMAC record for career three-pointers made, and Beisty became the all-time program leader for defensive rebounds during the season.

Bergeson compiled 27 wins in 2017-18, the second most wins in a single season in program history. With an overall record of 27-6 and 17-5 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Bergeson and the Rangers claimed their first-ever RMAC Tournament Championship in program history to nab the number three seed in the South Central Region of the NCAA Tournament.

Bergeson then led RU to an 87-82 win over Dallas Baptist in the Quarterfinals of the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament, earning their first win in the NCAA Tournament since the 1995-96 season.

Senior forward, Dexter Sienko, was named to the D2CCA All-South Central Region Second Team. He also earned RMAC Defensive Player of the Year and a spot on the All-RMAC First Team. Junior Jarrett Brodbeck and sophomore Christian Little were named the the All-RMAC Second Team while senior Ty McGee garnered All-RMAC Honorable Mention.

In 2016-17, Bergeson guided the Rangers to their first 20-win season since 1997-98 and first RMAC Tournament bid in nine years. Regis drew a No. 4 seed earning rights to host the first round, which was the first time since 1997-98. RU fell in a battle against cross-town rival MSU Denver 80-73.

Freshman point guard, Christian Little, earned RMAC Co-Freshman of the Year honors while two others were named All-RMAC First Team.

His first year at Regis saw the team compete hard in the RMAC. The team earned a 9-19 record overall, including a 7-15 record inside the conference, marking the most wins in a season since the 2012-13 season. Freshman Jarrett Brodbeck was named the RMAC Freshman of the Year after a stellar first year as a Ranger. Brodeck and sophomore Dexter Sienko were both named to the All-RMAC Second Team in 2015-16.

Bergeson began his duties on April 1, 2015, becoming the tenth head coach of the Ranger men’s basketball program; he is the successor to long-time head coach, Lonnie Porter.

A native of Longview, Wash., Bergeson has served as the head men’s basketball coach at Western Oregon University since 2011. During his four seasons at WOU, Bergeson experienced unprecedented success compiling an overall record of 69-45 (.663). In the school's NCAA Division II history, Bergeson and staff produced three of the program's best seasons in just four years.

In his first year at Western Oregon, Bergeson led the team to an 18-10 overall record, the highest win total since the 1996-97 season. He also finished fourth in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC), the highest in finish school history.

Following a successful rookie year for the Wolves, Bergeson worked to develop a young squad to ten wins while remaining competitive throughout the 2012-13 season.

The 2013-14 team tallied 18 wins and earned the program’s first postseason victory since joining the NCAA Division II after upsetting Alaska Anchorage in the first round of the GNAC Tournament.

By far his most successful season at WOU was the most recent year of 2014-15. Bergeson captured the program’s first ever GNAC regular season title and made the Wolves’ first ever NCAA Division II National Tournament appearance. Bergeson led a very experienced squad of ten upperclassmen to post an overall record of 23-7 with a GNAC record of 15-3. The Wolves season came to an end in the 1^st round of the NCAA Tournament after falling to west region No.1 seed Azusa Pacific University.

During his tenure at Western Oregon eight student-athletes were named all-conference with Andy Avgi earning the program’s first Daktronics First Team All-Region honor. In 2014-15, Avgi was awarded the GNAC Player of the Year and Bergeson earned his first GNAC Coach of the Year honor.

Before leading WOU, Bergeson served as an assistant coach for three seasons at Division I Sacramento State. While there his duties included recruitment and serving as the team’s offensive coordinator. Other duties included regularly assisting with guard development, scouting, and academic development.

Bergeson joins the Regis staff with prior knowledge of the competitive Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference as he served as an assistant coach at Metro State in Denver, Colo. for six seasons prior to his move to Sacramento State. During his time at Metro State, the Roadrunners compiled an overall record of 157-38 and a conference mark of 93-21. Each of the years he coached at Metro St. the team won a minimum of 19 games (2002-08) with the 2003-04 team making a NCAA Division II Final Four appearance.

Bergeson will take over a Ranger program that will return 11 lettermen from the 2014-15 season including nine players who started in at least one game.

Named the team’s captain and school’s student-athlete of the year during his senior year, Bergeson played four years of college basketball at Chapman University in Orange, California. While at Chapman, he served as the team’s point guard posting an overall record of 66-34.

In 2007 Bergeson earned his master’s in negotiation, conflict-resolution, and peace-building from Cal State Dominquez Hills. He graduated from Chapman with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

Brady and his wife Brooke have three children: Dash, Pilot and Clutch.

Clark got his coaching career off to a successful start with two seasons as an assistant coach at California Baptist. He worked with head coach Rick Croy as the Lancers posted a 54-14 record while he was there. The Lancers reached the NCAA Division II Sweet 16 in the 2014-15 season. The 2015-16 season resulted in a PacWest Conference Tournament Championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. His responsibilities included player development, scouting, recruiting, and he was the summer youth camp director.

His collegiate playing career started off at Ohlone College playing for John Peterson where they captured two conference championships. He then transferred to Humboldt State University, capturing two Conference championships and two trips to the NCAA Tournament.

A native of Pleasanton, California, Clark attended Foothill High School.

Clark, who is the son of a high-school basketball coach, graduated in 2012 with his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Humboldt State. He then went on to earn his Masters in Sports Management at California Baptist.

Scott and his wife, Taylor, reside in Denver with their daughter Cannon.

He instantly had a huge impact that helped turn the culture around. Having a high basketball IQ and being a leader on and off the court helped his team succeed.

King was a team captain and was a major contributor to the initial culture shift as the Rangers rebuilt their roster. As a two-year starter, he helped bring the program to its first 20-win season in over 20 years.

In his first season as a Ranger, King recorded 13 assists in a single game, tying the record. Following his two seasons as a player, King transitioned into a student-coach who helped lead the team to its first-ever RMAC tournament championship.

Szilagyi attended Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts where he was an all-conference player. His senior year Szilagyi led the conference in 3PT field goal percentage and set a school record for free throw percentage in a season at 95.1%. In 2019 Szilagyi graduated from Gordon College with a degree in Business Administration.
