YMCA Kamp Kanawana

Thank you for your interest in YMCA Kanawana, the oldest residential camp in Québec. This summer will mark our 114th summer of spirit, leadership, and fun, and we are looking for individuals who are positive, responsible and creative, and who put camper's needs before their own. YMCA Kanawana is a camp like no other - if you are looking for a life changing experience, you have come to the right place.

YMCA Kanawana offers a traditional approach to summer camping with core programs in canoeing, canoe tripping, nature, and outdoor survival skills. We also offer a wide variety of other activities, including rock climbing, archery, arts & crafts, kayaking, theater arts, team sports, dance, “School of Rock” (music),and of course swimming.

YMCA Kanawana is an English language camp, though more than a quarter of our campers speak French at home.  Staff should be at least 17 years old, bilingual (with the exception of international staff),have some experience working with children, and should be in possession of a valid first aid/CPRcertificate. Staff who does not have a valid first aid/CPR certificate may participate in acourse offered prior to pre-camp training (cost: $40.00).
