Job Description
Camp Skylemar is a well-established (since 1948) recreational summer camp, located in the Lakes Region of southern Maine. Located on a 200 acre wooded campsite overlooking the White Mountains and a beautiful spring-fed lake, Skylemar offers a nurturing atmosphere with an emphasis on FUN.We seek college students to act as lifeguards for the upcoming summer. Counselors will also be involved with other fun activities, trips and special events.
Applicants should be a strong swimmer and have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification. Swim team, kayaking, canoeing, or sailing experience a plus but not required. Applicants must be 18 and have completed at least one year of college.
We seek fun, dynamic, responsible role-models who enjoy working with children.
You will receive a salary of $2200 and up for the 8 week season (depending on certification). All staff members live on campus. We also cover room, board, travel expenses, and laundry service.
Position runs mid June through mid August.
