Job Description
Camp Skylemar, long considered to be one of the finest camps in the country, is in search of a well-qualified and experienced Waterfront Director.Summer home to 170 boys and 70 counselors, Skylemar offers top-notch instruction and enjoyment in aquatics and land sports. The setting is spectacular and well maintained, with 200 acres of fields and forest, and best of all, Trickey Pond.
Swim instruction and free-swim, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, waterskiing, wakeboarding and fishing are favorite activities on our virtually private, 3 mile long lake.

- Shares our belief that nothing is more important than safety
- Is comfortable teaching all levels, from the fearful to the competitive

- Can train, motivate and supervise a staff of ten collegiate lifeguards
We seek a smart, fun, safe and dynamic leader, who will inspire kids and staff members to love the water. He/she will execute a Red Cross swim program, and must have the ability to teach teachers how to teach in small groups, sensitively and creatively.
Always maintaining the perfect balance between safety and fun, the Waterfront Director coordinates closely with the Director of Waterskiing, Director of Boating and Director of Maintenance, to insure that the Skylemar waterfront program is second to none. He/she must be organized, adaptable and flexible (weather changes!). As an accredited camp, the Waterfront Director will adhere to high standards established by the directors of Skylemar and the American Camping Association. Also, as a member of our Senior Staff, he/she will be an integral part of camp management overall.
Known for our outstanding staff and attention to the individual child, Skylemar is a fantastic place to work. Dates: June 12-August 12. We provide full scholarship for your children or grandchildren, $4000-6000 salary range, housing, meals and travel expenses.
