FCI Conference Centre
Features and Amenities
The FCI Conference Centre offers meeting facilities, accommodation, fine dining and a full range of amenities for public/private/corporate groups who wish to hold meetings, seminars or conferences in a campus-type environment. The Centre can accommodate groups ranging in size from 10 to 200.
Meeting facilities: The campus has 11 meeting rooms of various types and sizes that can hold groups of 10 to 200. Room styles vary from board rooms to classrooms or lounges with fireplaces. There is an auditorium with a stage as well as a theatre and a gymnasium.
Audio/Visual: The FCI Conference Centre features state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment for most of its meeting facilities. There is no additional charge for the use of this equipment. Specific requirements should be identified when making reservations.
Office support: The Centre has a number of computer workstations available to its guests, along with telecommunications capability and a full range of office support services.
Accommodations: Guests of the FCI Conference Centre have a choice of three separate lodges which offer single or double occupancy bedrooms. There are also several individual 3-bedroom residences available.
Outdoor activities
A number of seasonally appropriate outdoor activities are available so
that guests can take full advantage of the uniquely beautiful setting
of the Frost Centre Institute. These include: • Hiking on groomed
trails located on 58,000 acres of pristine crown land
• Cross-country skiing or snow-shoeing on the same trails in Winter
(Guests should bring their own skiing equipment)
• Ice fishing (in January and February)
• Maple sugar bush program (in late March and/or early April) • Sailing
• Kayaking and canoeing
• Swimming
The FCI Conference Centre also has its own fully equipped arts studio
where guest can receive instruction in various visual arts techniques
from some of the top artists in the Haliburton Highlands. Availability
is limited and additional charges apply to this optional program.
