Follow the not-so-obvious path to experience a journey of adventure, exploration and self-reliance. Become a Steve Irwin enthusiast and join teenagers from across the world in breath taking Sydney. Local summer camp counselors are ready to show you around this fascinating city, being named one of the most livable destinations in the world. Teenagers will embark on an authentic Australian journey while learning global knowledge and independence while abroad.
Where should you start on your summer adventure? Let’s visit the oldest streets and neighborhood of Sydney, known as The Rocks. You’ll get to see heritage dating back to the European settlers in 1788, known for its creativity and cultural influences, with the Museum of Contemporary Art or meeting artists, poets and craftsmen. Check out Cadman’s Cottage for a free tour every night at 6pm, where you’ll get to see laneways, pubs and historic buildings.
You won’t find any more variety of beaches then in Sydney, most of which are free! Bondi beach is most definitely worth a visit, as it is the most famous and epic one. But don’t leave out Manly, Watson’s Bay, Coogee and Bronte Beaches. From Bondi Beach there is a magnificent cliff top coastal walk that leads all the way to Coogee. You’ll experience remarkable scenes from atop, beaches, parks, cliffs and rock pools. At each beach to can relax and go for a swim.
Zoos are plentiful in Sydney so be sure to leave time for Taronga Zoo, Wild life Sydney Zoo, the Australian Reptile Park and Wildlife Sanctuary or the Australian Reptile Park, see species only native to Sydney as well as exotic reptiles. You’ll learn about the animal sanctuaries where rare or threatened species are protected and interact with these animals at trainer shows.
