Alhambra, the city of homes, is home to the Alhambra Civic Center Library, which hosts a family story time for ages 3 to 12 years old every week, and an early literacy story time for children 0 to 2 years old. The library also has a computer lab for children only, where the young ones can use the internet, or play games. Spark Summer School offers summer camp programs that include a number of enrichment activities including young scientists, cooking classes, a business academy, and movie days. In the business academy, the campers will set up their own student run business.
For the kids entering 1st through 6th grades, Camp Ramona is a wonderful day camp. The camp is held in a private location with a swimming pool and gymnasium, biking and hiking trails.
