El Segundo is a beach city in Los Angeles County, where there is a large focus on outdoor fitness and water activities. The weather is warm all year, so it's always a great time for a swim or a jog with the family. Its proximity to Hollywood has rubbed off on the city and there are many performing arts classes and camps to take part in, as well. Your little star will be in the perfect place to make connections and get a taste of the performing life. Play and learn at Wondertree Kids, a safe environment for kids to move, interact, and explore. The programs here are designed to develop educational and life skills through curiosity and imagination. The summer camps expand on this with fun themes like "Yummy In My Tummy", "This Pretty Planet", and "Summer Fun". The Music and Movement class includes song, dance, movement games, and playing with instruments. Messy Art class is play turned into art and has classes for 18 months to 5 years old. Group piano classes and family classes are also available.

Stay active with Fitness By The Sea, which takes advantage of living so close to the ocean. This summer day camp is all about energetic exercise, but it also caters to kids who love sports, nature, and art. Lots of time is spent in the water swimming, boogie boarding, and surfing and there are instructors to help children improve their swimming and surfing skills. For those who can't swim, they will be closely monitored in the shallow waters. There are also entertaining theme days, where kids and instructors dress up for the circus, a pajama party, or pirates and ninjas!

Have even more fun after summer camp and take the family to Scooter's Jungle, an indoor, tropical-themed, play area. Open play times for kids run almost every evening and afternoon. The arena for ages 6 and up has a zip line, obstacle course, huge slide, ping pong, and air hockey. The arena for ages 1-8 has a two-story webbed play structure, scooters, an indoor slide, and a play-yard. Birthday parties can rent out the arenas for 90 minutes and this can include a dinner in the dining room or an upgrade with prize bags, a t-shirt, and balloons.
