The City of Newport has an entire section of various enrichment camps available to kids starting at age 5. Enroll your child in one of their exciting camp opportunities, such as photography camp, cooking camp, wilderness survival camp, game design, robotics, and much more! Get wet and wild at Newport Aquatic Center. Take in the salty air as your children look out for pelicans and egrets during a family-friendlycanoeride. With several lessons offered in rowing, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding, your kid is sure to find a water sport they’ll enjoy. Enjoy a 2-hour guided kayak tour through the Back Bay of Newport Beach, a salt marsh estuary that provides a habitat to endangered birds and other marine life.

Enliven your child's creative side at the Orange County Museum of Art. This modern attraction boasts 3,000 works of art along with traveling international exhibits. Your kids will enjoy getting their hands dirty in the studio, where they can draw and paint fantastic creations to their hearts' content. Your little ones can also spend a day immersed in art history and learn the stories behind the latest exhibits. With special story times and live entertainment, your family won't find a shortage of activities in this museum. Entrance is free on the second Sunday of each month and children under 12 are free.

Cultivate the book worm in your child at Newport Central Library. Although this state of the art library offers a wonderful children's collection, books aren't the only thing happening here. Dance the day away during the children's music events, or let them come in their footies to the pajama story times before bed. LEGO block parties,arts and craftsactivities, and preschool story times make this area a special treat for kids of all ages.
