The hardest part about California’s Great America theme park is choosing what to do! If you’re looking for excitement, then thrill rides, such as the Vortex and Flight Deck, are great for adrenaline junkies, while family rides, like the carousel and Woodstock Express, are perfect for the little ones. Or nix the rides altogether and have a blast next door at the Boomerang Bay Water Park with its 13 water slides, heated lagoon, and lazy river. For 50 years, the Triton Museum of Art has contributed to the cultural beauty of Santa Clara. Spend the day exploring the exhibitions totally free of charge, or take learning to the next level by signing up for one of many classes and workshops. With options for kids, teens, adults, and community outreach, there’s no shortage of fun and stimulation. Drawing and painting classes are offered to kids as young as 3 and even adults can join in. For a change of pace and some friendly competition, the racetrack at K1 Speed Santa Clara is your best bet. A favorite attraction among many, both adults and children can get in on the action. Using European electric karts and an indoor asphalt track, racing enthusiasts and amateurs alike will love testing their driving chops while experiencing the thrill of racing around a state-of-the-art go-kart track. Kids can race against the clock and each other for 12 laps and will receive a print-out of their performance to take home.
