Durango, Colorado covers all of your bases for family activities of virtually any interest. Delve into theater at the Durango Arts Center, get adventurous at Durango Mountain Resort, and explore the town on the Main Avenue Trolley Service.

Learn to play a new role at the Durango Arts Center. Enroll your child inActing for Kids,where your young student will learn basic acting techniques through fun acting games, activities, and improvisation. At the end of the session, students are cast in scenes or a one act play to be performed at the end of the season. Kids can also learn skills for a number of differentartforms. Children will expand their knowledge of art materials, learn to love the art of drawing, and even play with clay in one of the various Youth Summer Art Camps.

Hit the slopes at Durango Mountain Resort. Kids of every age and skill level can learn to ski and snowboard in theKids Ski & Ride School. Your growing athlete will have the opportunity to ski with kids their own age and of similar ability while making new friends and exploring the coolest trails. The professional staff knows how to make learning fun while staying safe. Regardless of ability level, the resort’s lessons teach young skiers and riders new skills to help them master the mountain.

Travel around town on the exciting Main Avenue Trolley Service. The bright red trolley will catch your children’s eyes as it travels past along Main Avenue. Your kids will have a blast catching a ride on this beautiful trolley that will be sure to bring a bit of nostalgia to your travel. The best part is that the trolley is the free service of the City of Durango.
