The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Gardens offers 127 acres of beautiful paths, plants, and trees from all over the world. Take a self-guided tour or sign up with one of the docents to be shown such sights as the Meyberg Waterfall, a favorite for photo-ops; the Grace Kallam Perennial Garden, lined with intimate paths of color-themed flowers; or check out the many species of resident birds, aquatic creatures, and reptiles at Tule Pond. The wonders of nature in Arcadia continue at Wilderness Park. Located in the San Gabriel Mountains, the park is a great option for a family adventure or a day-long getaway.
